Professional background

Helen studied Law and Politics at Hull University before qualifying as a solicitor in 1992. She spent 14 years in private practice in Hull, obtaining Higher Rights of Audience in 2004. She transferred to the Bar in 2006 and practised from Sovereign Chambers in Leeds before joining St. Mary’s Chambers in 2012.
