New Recruit - Helen Knott joins
St. Mary's Chambers
We are delighted to announce that from the 22nd February 2017 we will be joined by Helen Knott formerly of 42 Bedford Row.
Helen was called to the Bar in 2002, prior to that she was a social worker for 12 years and a trade union officer for 4 years. She practices primarily in Public Law children matters and is experienced in representing local authorities, parents, children and extended family members across the range of issues arising in public law proceedings. Helen also represents parents and children in complex private law proceedings including those where forced marriage or FGM is an issue. Helen has experience in the Court of Protection representing the parents of vulnerable adults and local authorities.
Helen is also adept in designing and delivering training for solicitors, barristers, and social workers. She recently delivered a seminar on children being deprived of their liberty and will be leading a day’s training for London local authority social workers in court skills later this month.
All at Chambers are looking forward to Helen joining our expanding team.
